Pick up passengers from hotels, airport,
railway station or bus terminal in Chiang
Mai. Depart Chiang Mai by 4-WD Land Rover or
similar to visit the hilltribe museum and
local market in Mae Malai. Then continue to
Ban Mae Taman of Mae Tang to ride an
elephant for an hour follow by a ride on the
ox-cart.
After a picnic lunch, embark on the
inflatable rafts for an adventurous journey
down the rapids in the white-water and
scenic Mae Tang River for about an hour (the
trip can be more or less dependable on the
season). Continue by four- wheeler to Ban
Pang Hai - a simple village situated 850
metres above sea level. Check in at the
Hmong Hilltribe Lodge for barbecue dinner
with cultural presentations and overnight.
Day 02:
08:30
After breakfast, drive to a small village of
Ban Teen Doi where you take a short stroll
to Ban Mae Pa. Get into action by mountain
biking to Ban Palan. Visit the small village
reservoir and continue biking to Ban Pong
Kwaw where there is an old temple with
beautiful wall paintings. After a picnic
lunch, proceed to Ban Nong Hoi Kao to
observe the Royal Project where the hill
peoples are taught to grow vegetables and
flowers. The office of the Royal Project
also buys the produce from these hilltribes.
Return to Chiang Mai and transfer to hotels
or Chiang Mai Airport.
