After
breakfast leave for Sigiriya. En-route visit
the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela. A
unique sanctuary in the world for orphaned
elephants. Afternoon Optional visit
Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s first ancient
capital from 1st century B.C. to 10th
century A. D. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 03:
SIGIRIYA/ POLONNARUWA/
SIGIRIYA
After
early breakfast climb Sigiriya rock
fortress. Declared as the 8th wonder of the
ancient world. Afternoon visit ruins of
Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka’s 2nd Kingdom –
popularly known as the medieval capital.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 04:
SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA /
MATALE / KANDY
After
breakfast leave for Kandy visiting Dambulla
Cave Temple – famous for wall & ceiling
paintings. Visit a Spice garden & a Batik
factory on the way. In the evening witness
the Cultural show & Fire-walking. Dinner &
overnight at hotel.
Day 05:
KANDY
Visit
Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya early
morning with a city tour. Visit to a Gem
shop & lapidary during shopping. Evening
visit Temple of the Tooth – the holiest of
the holy places for Buddhists throughout the
world. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 06:
KANDY / NUWARA – ELIYA
After
breakfast leave for Nuwara-Eliya visiting a
Tea Factory on the way. Afternoon visit
Hakgala Botanical Gardens.
Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Day 07:
NUWARA – ELIYA
After
breakfast Optional – Nature Hike to Horton
Plains National Park visiting World’s End.
Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

KITULGALA / BENTOTA

breakfast leave for Bentota via Kitulgala.
Optional – White Water Rafting and the
location where David Lean’s film “ Bridge on
the River Kwai “ was filmed. Dinner &
